Infrastructure Lead Operation

Role Overview

The Infrastructure Lead Operation plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing Infrastructure Maintenance and Managed Services activities. This position requires coordination among various technical teams specializing in Servers, Virtualization, Networks, Security, Storage, Backup, and Monitoring.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Direct and manage infrastructure maintenance and managed services operations.
• Coordinate efforts across teams responsible for servers, virtualization, network operations, security, storage solutions, backup systems, and monitoring platforms.
• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for significant and critical operational incidents.
• Lead the processes of incident management, problem resolution, and root-cause analysis to minimize downtime and prevent recurrence.
• Oversee maintenance tasks including patching, system upgrades, migrations, and major infrastructural changes.
• Monitor and ensure optimal infrastructure availability, performance metrics, capacity planning, and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
• Liaise effectively with internal technical teams, external vendors, and key stakeholders to ensure operational excellence.
• Provide support for disaster recovery protocols, service restoration activities, and handling of critical incidents.
• Maintain thorough technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and promote knowledge transfer within teams.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives and manage the infrastructure lifecycle.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
• A minimum of eight years' experience in IT Infrastructure and Operations, with preference for those familiar with extensive managed services environments.
• Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems, VMware virtualization technologies, LAN/WAN networks, network security frameworks, data storage solutions, backup and disaster recovery setups, and monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical aptitude for troubleshooting and conducting thorough root cause analysis.
• Knowledgeable in ITIL processes, specifically Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management.
• Experienced in leading multiple technical teams and managing vendor relationships.
• Effective communication skills in both English and Arabic languages.
• Prepared to work onsite in Riyadh and available for on-call support duties as needed.
