Job description

Company Overview

Uara Digital Limited was established to assist clients in their digital transformation journeys while fostering employee growth and development. The company values both customers and staff equally and provides IT services such as software assessments, digital training, resource augmentation, and digital delivery management. Uara offers custom solutions tailored for organizations of all sizes to help them achieve their digital objectives at any phase.

Role Overview

We are currently looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of a key, high-impact business solution. This role involves managing a complex environment that coordinates external vendor deliveries with internal engineering efforts. You will be the pivotal figure ensuring the seamless integration of an enterprise-grade product within the existing IT infrastructure. The position demands expertise in vendor governance, an understanding of complex middleware integration, and a strong commitment to data integrity and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the complete project lifecycle, aligning timelines between external vendor deliveries and internal development schedules.
  • Work closely with internal engineering teams developing scalable integration methods such as APIs, microservices, or middleware to link the new solution to core business systems.
  • Ensure compliance with internal data architecture, security policies, and sovereignty requirements throughout the project.
  • Serve as the main commercial and operational contact for external software vendors, overseeing adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), milestones, and statements of work.
  • Identify and manage risks and dependencies across combined delivery streams, focusing on data mapping, environment readiness, and transition planning.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful applicant will have a proven history managing projects that involve a combination of external product development and internal technical implementations. Experience in navigating hybrid ecosystems and managing vendor relationships with sensitivity to both commercial and collaborative aspects is essential.

Experience Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing IT projects with commercial off-the-shelf SaaS or software vendors alongside internal IT teams.
  • Strong understanding of integration technologies, including modern integration patterns, data pipelines, and architecture without necessarily requiring coding skills, but the ability to communicate effectively with solution architects and developers.
  • Experience handling projects with stringent data governance, migration processes, and internal data warehousing demands.
  • Demonstrated vendor management ability to enforce accountability while nurturing cooperative partnerships.

Qualifications

  • At least five years of dedicated experience in IT Project Management.
  • Professional certifications like PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum are highly valued.

Additional Information

Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or possess a valid New Zealand work visa to be eligible for this position. Contact will only be made with candidates closely matching the required skills and experience.
