Africa Global Logistics Rwanda Limited, headquartered at Kigali Special Economic Zone, Kigali, Rwanda, specializes in transport and logistics. Within the IT Department attached to the Freight Forwarding & Transit division, we are recruiting a Product Owner - BUILD for a permanent position on the Connect Logistics team.

Connect Logistics is an orchestrator bus launched for production in March 2025. It consolidates, cleans, and collects data from operational systems (TMS) and provides it via a dedicated client web portal. The project is entering a transformation phase aiming to expand its functional scope and establish itself as a key component of the Transit & Freight Forwarding ecosystem, managing data exchange between logistics applications and ensuring reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and refine strategic business requirements and integration initiatives.
• Lead scoping workshops and document detailed functional requirements.
• Define and update data exchange mappings for new integrations.
• Ensure product evolutions align with platform standards and the overall program roadmap.
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog using Azure DevOps.
• Create functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and track development progress.
• Serve as the main technical liaison for development teams and validate delivered features.
• Manage delivery of integration projects and product improvements.
• Generate project status reports; monitor risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
• Support governance processes and decision-making frameworks.
• Coordinate testing activities and oversee issue resolution.
• Supervise product evolution through to deployment in operations.
• Collaborate with RUN teams to track solution performance and identify improvements.
• Ensure production of functional documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Proven background as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Application Manager (Build/Run), ideally with integration platforms, middleware or enterprise applications.
• Functional knowledge of Logistics or International Transportation is advantageous, especially in Freight Forwarding.
• Experience working in Agile settings with multidisciplinary, international teams.

Technical Expertise

• Strong skills in functional analysis and specification writing, including user stories, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and change management.
• Good understanding of integration architectures such as Enterprise Service Bus, APIs, EDI, messaging, and orchestration platforms.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure integration services, including Azure Service Bus, API Management, and Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of data exchange formats and integration principles (JSON, XML, data mapping, message transformation).
• Ability to analyze technical logs to support issue resolution with technical teams.
• Experience with documentation and collaboration tools like Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft Project.

Language Skills

Proficiency in both written and spoken English and French is required.
