Job description
Overview
Proax Technologies Ltd. is seeking a skilled Industrial Millwright with proven expertise in working with industrial and construction machinery. This role involves assembling automation components, product machinery, and transferring equipment, alongside interpreting blueprints and installing various equipment to meet project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical and pneumatic systems utilizing hand and power tools according to work orders.
- Conduct testing of all assembled systems to ensure compliance with quality, quantity, and timing standards.
- Keep inventory records up to date including parts used, defective items, and additional parts required to maintain system accuracy.
- Provide assistance to customers by assessing needs and executing necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with material handling, sales, and other departments to expedite order processing.
- Review and analyze engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints to determine appropriate work procedures.
- Select suitable machines, tools, and techniques to facilitate equipment relocation and job completion.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Perform other assigned tasks as necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Between 1 to 5 years of experience in assembly or shop work preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience as a millwright or in a closely related role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial machine mechanisms including hydraulics and motors.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet customer expectations regarding quantity and deadlines.
- High attention to detail to ensure superior quality of work.
- Customer-oriented approach with good communication skills.
- Completion of an accredited millwright certification program.
- Capability to work efficiently in a team-based environment.
