Job Summary
This full-time role involves maintaining the cleanliness of manufacturing facilities and supporting operational tasks in an industrial environment.
Work Schedule and Compensation
The position is day shift from Sunday to Tuesday or Sunday to Wednesday, working 5am to 5pm. The starting wage is $17 per hour.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out both light and heavy janitorial tasks within the manufacturing setting to ensure facility cleanliness and safety.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify hazards, equipment repair needs, and opportunities for improvements, reporting these to the Plant Manager.
- Serve as a backup operator for pellet mill and packaging machinery when necessary.
- Support preventive maintenance activities as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the plant.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or GED mandatory.
- Preferably 1-2 years of experience on a production line in an industrial setting.
- Good coordination among eyes, hands, and feet is necessary.
- Ability to focus for prolonged periods and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical capability to lift weights up to 50 pounds and stand for at least seven hours daily.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortable performing simple arithmetic calculations.
