Overview
Join FCC Environment as an Industrial Cleaner at the Energy from Waste facility located in Kidderminster (postcode DY10 4JD). This full-time role entails working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend or bank holiday overtime based on operational needs. You will support the Maintenance team by performing comprehensive industrial cleaning to maintain safety and cleanliness standards under the supervision of the Operations Engineer or their deputy.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform industrial and general cleaning activities across process and external site areas.
- Uphold high standards of housekeeping throughout the facility.
- Clean process equipment according to established schedules or as needed.
- Operate industrial cleaning machinery safely and properly.
- Handle and dispose of cleaning materials and waste aligned with site protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs of cleaning tasks completed.
- Support adherence to health, safety, and environmental compliance and site consents.
- Contribute positively to the site's safety culture by reporting incidents, hazards, or unsafe conduct promptly.
- Undertake additional duties as requested by management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Prior experience in cleaning within process or heavy industrial environments.
- Competence in operating industrial cleaning machinery.
- Experience in the waste industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong focus on health and safety with thorough understanding of safe work practices.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proactive mindset with keen attention to detail.
