Originating as a meat delivery service in Stellarton, Nova Scotia, this organization has expanded to employ over 128,000 individuals across corporate-owned and franchised locations. Known under various banners such as Sobeys, Safeway, IGA, and others, it is a large network operating more than 1,500 stores across all Canadian provinces. This position is with an independently owned franchised or affiliate store.
Role Overview
The Baker will operate under the supervision of the Bakery Manager to prepare baked goods for customers, providing friendly and professional service. This role will also support a culture of employee and customer engagement by maintaining bakery production standards and assisting in training new staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver attentive customer service to meet customer needs.
- Handle bakery administrative duties as assigned.
- Prepare and package baked goods ready for sale.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery production area.
- Assist with training new bakery employees.
- Comply with all company standards and regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Basic knowledge of bakery operations is necessary.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced setting.
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three months of relevant experience in bakery or food preparation.
