In Room Dining Order Taker

Position Overview

Join Renaissance Hotels as an In Room Dining Order Taker located in Dubai, UAE, responsible for delivering exceptional dining service directly to guests' rooms. You will facilitate the guest dining experience by accurately taking orders, coordinating with the kitchen, and ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests with a focus on quality and timeliness.
• Arrange tables according to the specific event and service guidelines.
• Respond to guest inquiries regarding menu options and liaise with kitchen staff about order specifics, wait times, re-cooking requests, and availability.
• Communicate any special dietary needs, allergies, or additional meal requests to the kitchen team.
• Enter and record transactions promptly using the MICROS point-of-sale system at the time of order.
• Check back with guests to confirm satisfaction with each course and beverage.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas and dining ware throughout the shift.
• Perform closing responsibilities including restocking supplies and switching off lights.
• Present accurate checks to guests and handle the payment process.
• Comply with company safety and security protocols and report any unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Adhere to dress code and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Interact with guests warmly, anticipate their needs, accommodate individuals with disabilities, and express appreciation upon their departure.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues.
• Build and sustain positive relationships with team members to meet shared objectives.
• Maintain high standards of quality and service consistency.
• Read and verify information across various formats accurately.
• Be physically capable to stand, walk, lift, carry, push or pull objects as required during shifts, including moving items up to 25 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance.
• Navigate different surfaces and environments safely, including stairs and ramps, and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Complete any other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Minimum of one year of relevant work experience in food and beverage service or similar role.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• No specific licenses or certifications mandated.
