In-House Videographer

About the Role

Bad Salsa Group is seeking a skilled and imaginative In-House Videographer to join their creative team full-time in Kolkata. This role requires passion for telling compelling visual stories through a broad spectrum of video projects. The videographer will work closely under the guidance of the Director, translating creative concepts into high-quality video content.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture videos for diverse projects such as weddings, pre-wedding shoots, birthday events, baby and maternity sessions, fashion/model portfolios, dance performances and rehearsals, social media reels, corporate and commercial branding content, interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and other creative productions.
• Interpret and implement the Director’s creative briefs, concepts, shot requirements, and directions accurately.
• Operate and manage video equipment including cameras, lenses, lighting setups, gimbals, microphones, and related tools professionally.
• Plan and execute camera angles, movements, framing, lighting, and compositional techniques fitting each assignment.
• Balance shooting candid moments and cinematic style footage as per project needs.
• Cooperate effectively with clients, artists, dancers, models, and production team members during shoots.
• Ensure secure organization and transfer of all recorded footage after each assignment.
• Maintain and care for production equipment, ensuring it remains in optimal working condition.
• Be available for both indoor and outdoor shooting assignments, adjusting to varied schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and event-specific timings.
• Complete projects diligently within agreed timelines.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated professional videography experience across multiple project types.
• Strong expertise in camera handling, lens selection, lighting techniques, framing, composition, and sound recording.
• Preference for candidates with experience in wedding, pre-wedding, event, dance, portfolio, and social media content shoots.
• Ability to interpret and follow creative directives faithfully.
• A keen creative eye paired with enthusiasm for cinematic storytelling.
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a production team.
• Effective communication, exceptional time management, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Adaptability to high-paced, dynamic shooting environments.
• Basic video editing and color grading knowledge is a plus.
• Applicants are expected to share a portfolio or showreel illustrating previous work.
