Job description

About Lock Group

The Lock Group is a B Corp certified collective of creative production experts dedicated to helping brands realize their vision through culturally significant and commercially impactful content. Operating at the crossroads of culture and commerce, we aim to connect and inspire audiences beyond merely delivering results by amplifying unique artistic narratives and assisting brands in presenting themselves in original, relevant, and memorable ways through storytelling.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-focused Image Coordinator to join our e-commerce studio. This person will oversee image workflows from submission through delivery, ensuring consistency with brand standards and acting as the communication nexus between production, art direction, external vendors, and the retouching team. The role also involves improving workflows both internally and with external partners to boost efficiency and quality, along with collaborating on QC processes and supporting AI technology integrations in image production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the studio in creating images that adhere to Lock’s standards of excellence.
  • Administer image workflow processes from receipt to final output.
  • Continuously update and improve the imagery matrix to fulfill brand specifications.
  • Suggest and implement optimized workflows for both in-house and outsourced teams to drive efficiency and consistency.
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and develop strategies to enhance speed, quality, and uniformity.
  • Serve as a central communication point among production, art direction, outside partners, and retouchers.
  • Communicate proactively to foster collaboration with clients and production teams.
  • Maintain project tracking including deadlines and deliverables using spreadsheets and project management software.
  • Perform quality control to ensure images meet technical guidelines, client briefs, and feedback.
  • Provide regular feedback to production and on-set teams to address recurring challenges and improve processes.
  • Ensure timely delivery of final assets correctly formatted, named, and aligned with brand and technical criteria.
  • Adapt workflows flexibly in response to operational pressures as the business scales.
  • Partner closely with Production to continuously enhance QC and image flow processes.
  • Support the evaluation and adoption of AI technologies for QC workflows by reviewing outputs and recommending improvements.
  • Offer administrative support to the retouching team to streamline operations.
  • Maintain proactive communication to rapidly solve workflow issues.
  • Adapt to changing priorities to ensure smooth project execution.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a high-volume e-commerce post-production environment.
  • Knowledge of image retouching processes is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with workflow management tools and proficiency with spreadsheets is highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong organizational and process-oriented mindset.
  • Collaborative, positive attitude and solution-driven team player.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure with adaptability and professionalism.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration across teams and clients.
  • Passion for achieving visual excellence and craftsmanship.
  • Understanding of e-commerce image standards is desirable.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Bridge), Capture One, and workflow automation tools such as Lets Flo and Creative Force.

Benefits and Perks

  • Generous vacation and time-off policies.
  • One paid day allocated for volunteering annually.
  • Flexible work policy allowing remote work up to five days per year.
  • Access to confidential Employee Assistance Program services.
  • Support from Mental Health First Aiders.
  • Leave provisions for fertility and menopause care.
  • Cycle to Work and eye care benefits.
  • Salary sacrifice schemes including electric car, home & tech purchase, nursery, and season ticket options.
  • Quarterly social studio events and seasonal parties.
  • Peer recognition programs and long-service awards.
  • Dog-friendly working environment.
  • A commitment to sustainability as a B Corp certified organization.
