Role Overview

We are seeking a Hygiene Officer for Park Inn by Radisson Polokwane. The ideal candidate will possess not only skills and experience but also character, passion, and a proactive mindset focused on anticipating guest needs and backing their department to continually offer memorable experiences.

This position involves championing cleanliness and hygiene standards for staff and guests, primarily within the kitchen team. Responsibilities require a high degree of attentiveness, responsibility, and maintaining impeccable hygiene levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise stewarding department personnel, overseeing facility operations and duties.
• Ensure sanitation, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are maintained along with the quality of products and services.
• Maintain Back of House areas at top cleanliness levels, adhering strictly to cleaning schedules.
• Lead and support Stewards to enhance efficiency in cleanup activities.
• Monitor and document water temperature and chemical concentrations suited for cleaning processes.
• Support banquet setups by moving and ensuring sufficient stock availability.
• Assist kitchen chefs and personnel with miscellaneous tasks as necessary.
• Ensure the proper and safe use of chemicals and cleaning tools.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef to determine and authorize par stock limits and storeroom supply requisitions.
• Coordinate daily requirements with the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager and Outlet Managers.
• Help locate, move, and store banquet operational equipment.
• Participate in equipment and inventory stocktaking as required.
• Work closely with Chefs and Banqueting Managers to anticipate guest requirements.
• Communicate across departments to guarantee the timely availability of necessary service items.
• Take proactive steps to minimize loss and damage of silverware, flatware, china, and glassware.
