Role Overview and Duties

This position involves delivering professional, courteous service while maintaining building operations through minor painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other routine repairs. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment for compliance with operational standards, prioritizing work via job orders, scheduling maintenance tasks to ensure continuous operation and guest satisfaction, and completing preventative maintenance in alignment with scheduled plans.

The technician will manage tasks related to pool and spa upkeep, adhere strictly to department policies and safety procedures, and manage controls and equipment sign-ins such as master cards and ladders. Regular tasks include preventative maintenance visits to guest rooms, handling repair requests from guests and management, conducting plant room readings, performing scheduled maintenance on various machinery including FCUs, pumps, electrical panels, and kitchen equipment, along with emergency response duties involving fire alarms, water or gas leaks.

Additional duties encompass hazard reporting, equipment misuse monitoring, maintaining cleanliness in plant rooms, routine sump pump and chiller inspections, monthly maintenance on heaters, pumps, refill of ice machine filters, generator upkeep, meter readings, and energy conservation monitoring. Follow-ups on pending daily work and ensuring completion of scheduled Side Kick preventative maintenance tasks are also part of the role, along with other assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications and Attributes

Previous relevant experience is advantageous, including skills in painting, plumbing, electrical tasks, and pool/spa maintenance. Candidates should be dependable, responsible, able to work independently and collaboratively within a team, and self-motivated to take initiative under dynamic work conditions. Physical stamina for prolonged standing and walking during shifts is essential. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required; knowledge of an additional language is beneficial.

Strong customer service orientation, interpersonal communication, active listening skills, and flexibility regarding work hours are necessary for success in this role.
