Role Overview

The HVAC Technician (Applied & DX) in Doha, Qatar, will handle the installation, operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Applied and DX HVAC systems, ensuring dependable operation and excellent client satisfaction. The role demands hands-on expertise, strong diagnostic abilities, and strict adherence to safety and quality protocols. Independent on-site service execution is expected, with close collaboration with supervisors and teams to meet contractual service level agreements and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair for Applied systems (chillers, AHUs, FCUs) and DX & VRV/VRF systems.
• Identify and rectify electrical, mechanical, and control system issues promptly.
• Assist with commissioning, operation, and maintenance to align with OEM guidelines.
• Diagnose root causes of faults and work to reduce recurring failures.
• Enhance system efficiency by performing proper servicing, parameter verification, and minor tuning.
• Refer complex or repeated technical issues to higher authorities when necessary.
• Serve as the on-site technical liaison, maintaining professional and clear communication with customers.
• Provide clear explanations of service procedures, findings, and recommended actions.
• Ensure service quality standards and promote customer satisfaction during visits.
• Accurately complete service documentation, including reports and checklists.
• Record system performance data, faults, and corrective measures taken.
• Collaborate with supervisors, planners, and parts teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, use appropriate PPE, and comply with permit regulations.
• Handle tools, equipment, and refrigerants safely and responsibly.
• Keep updated on the latest products, service techniques, and HVAC technology advancements.
• Engage in ongoing training programs and apply learned skills in fieldwork.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Technical Diploma (ITI or equivalent) in Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or a related field.
• At least three years of practical experience in HVAC service, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with DX & VRV/VRF technology and/or Applied equipment such as chillers, AHUs, and FCUs.
• Proficient in diagnosing electrical and refrigeration system faults.
• Basic competency in reading HVAC controls and electrical schematics.
• Capability to work independently at customer locations.
• Good interpersonal and customer service communication skills.
• Familiarity with service reporting systems, manual or electronic.
• Strong dedication to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
• Having a valid Qatar Driving License is advantageous.
