Role Overview
The Humanities Teacher for IGCSE and A-Level programs will be responsible for delivering engaging and standards-compliant lessons in Geography and related humanities disciplines to students at middle and secondary school levels. Key duties include lesson planning and execution, assessing academic progress, providing meaningful feedback, and maintaining detailed academic records.
The teacher will also nurture students' critical thinking abilities, promote inquiry-based learning methods, and encourage global awareness, all in alignment with both the school's values and the Cambridge curriculum guidelines. This position requires a full-time commitment and is based on-site at Dodi International School.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in designing and implementing lesson plans and curricula that meet IGCSE and A-Level educational standards.
- Experience teaching humanities subjects, especially Geography and History, at middle school, IGCSE, and A-Level levels.
- Strong communication skills to facilitate effective instruction, deliver constructive feedback, and collaborate with students, families, and colleagues.
- Possession of a bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Geography, History, Social Studies, or a related humanities discipline; holding a teaching certification or equivalent credentials is preferred.
- Familiarity with Cambridge curricula or experience in international school settings is advantageous.
- Ability to work cooperatively within a diverse school community and commitment to inclusive and non-discriminatory practices.
