As the company rapidly expands within Singapore and nearby regions, it seeks a practical and detail-oriented HR Generalist / HR Specialist to enhance its HR operations and systems.
Role Overview
The position involves end-to-end management of the employee lifecycle, partnering closely with HR leaders, HR business partners, Talent Acquisition, and business managers to maintain consistent and efficient HR practices. This role is execution-focused, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-growth environments and enjoys engaging with multiple HR functions and resolving personnel-related challenges.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee daily HR operations, handling employee lifecycle functions from onboarding through offboarding, maintaining accurate employee records, HR databases, and relevant documentation.
- Coordinate processes including onboarding, probation confirmations, transfers, promotions, and exits, preparing official HR correspondence and ensuring adherence to policies and employment laws.
- Collaborate with payroll and stakeholders to guarantee precise and timely payroll data submission.
- Act as a resource for employees and managers on HR policies, assisting in employee relations issues and advising on performance, attendance, and disciplinary matters.
- Facilitate performance management cycles, supporting probation and performance reviews, compliance documentation, and improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and continual refinement of HR policies and ensure compliance with Singapore labor laws, maintaining handbooks, internal guidelines, and supporting audits.
- Produce HR metrics reports covering headcount, turnover, leave, and workforce analysis to assist management's decision-making.
- Drive HR projects such as employee engagement, benefits, performance initiatives, and automation efforts, working cross-functionally to optimize processes and enhance employee experience.
- Extend HR operational support to regional teams beyond Singapore and coordinate with local HR partners on market-specific matters.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related fields.
- 3 to 6 years of professional HR experience, ideally within technology, fintech, financial services, or fast-scaling businesses.
- Proficient understanding of HR operations and employee lifecycle management.
- Good knowledge of Singapore employment legislation and best HR practices.
- Experience handling employee relations and performance evaluation processes.
- Excellent organizational and stakeholder management abilities, with strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail and capability to manage competing priorities efficiently.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and adaptable to rapidly changing work environments.
- Upholds confidentiality, integrity, and professional discretion.
- Comfortable working independently yet collaborates closely with HR teams and business units.
- Experience with HR information systems, payroll platforms, or automation tools is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in high-growth startups, fintech, or financial services sectors.
- Exposure to supporting HR functions across multiple countries or regions.
- Familiarity with HRIS implementations and process improvements through technology.
