About the Role

Escuela Naval Arturo Prat seeks an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations and champion employee development within a fully remote environment based in Germany. This mid-level managerial position focuses on managing people-centered processes, partnering with leadership, and enhancing workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily HR functions and employee lifecycle activities.
  • Create, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and termination procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership on employee relations and related issues.
  • Facilitate performance management and support career development programs.
  • Design and execute employee engagement and retention strategies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records ensuring data privacy and integrity.
  • Track HR metrics and generate reports to guide workforce decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with German employment laws and organizational policies.
  • Coordinate training and professional learning initiatives for staff.
  • Contribute to compensation, benefits, and workforce planning efforts.
  • Identify and recommend enhancements to HR processes and employee experiences.
  • Promote an inclusive and collaborative remote work culture.

Requirements

  • Minimum three years’ experience in HR, people operations, or talent management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in HR principles, employee lifecycle management, and best practices.
  • Experience managing recruitment, onboarding, performance assessments, and employee relations.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR compliance and employment law in Germany.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Professional handling of confidential employee information.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, Applicant Tracking Systems, or similar HR technology.
  • Analytical skills to leverage HR data for strategic business decisions.
  • Capability to work autonomously with remote, distributed teams.
  • Fluent English language proficiency.
  • Must reside in Germany with legal authorization for full-time work.
  • Adaptable to a fully remote working setup.
