About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned and highly professional Human Resources Manager to lead the entire HR function within a distinguished boutique hotel or palace setting. This role requires expertise in strategic HR management with a thorough understanding of luxury hospitality, VIP service protocols, and the utmost discretion and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an HR strategy that aligns with the property's luxury branding and exceptional service standards.
- Serve as a strategic HR advisor to the General Manager and Owner Representative.
- Oversee workforce planning, organizational design, manpower budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Manage comprehensive recruitment processes for all departments to ensure hires meet luxury service and VIP standards.
- Establish structured onboarding programs emphasizing discretion, etiquette, grooming, and service excellence.
- Build talent pipelines particularly for positions such as Butler Services, Guest Relations, and Security.
- Design and deploy training and employee development initiatives tailored to luxury hospitality.
- Administer succession planning and cultivate high-potential talents.
- Implement and oversee performance management systems organization-wide.
- Coach department leaders on performance appraisals, employee feedback, and developmental guidance.
- Handle employee relations including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
- Ensure adherence to Qatar labor regulations, internal policies, and hospitality standards.
- Supervise payroll processes, conduct compensation benchmarking, and manage benefits administration.
- Maintain secure and confidential employee records adhering to privacy standards.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives aimed at boosting retention, morale, and workplace culture.
- Monitor HR performance indicators and provide periodic reports and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Lead HR support during audits, inspections, VIP visits, and special events.
- Preserve the highest confidentiality levels when managing sensitive VIP and organizational information.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related discipline.
- A Master's degree (MBA or equivalent), preferably in Hospitality or a related field, is highly desirable.
- 8 to 15 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, preferably within luxury hospitality.
- Demonstrated senior HR management experience at boutique hotels, palaces, luxury hotels, or VIP hospitality environments.
- Strong expertise in HR strategy, workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and HR operations.
- In-depth knowledge of luxury hospitality culture and high-intensity guest service standards.
- Solid understanding of Qatar’s labor laws and HR compliance practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional professionalism, cultural sensitivity, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Strong executive presence with the capacity to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and VIP clients.
