Its unique retail concept features exclusive collections, emerging local and national brands, and top designer names across distinctive store zones.

Role Overview

We are excited to welcome a Human Resources Director to lead all HR initiatives at our new flagship location in downtown Vancouver at CF Pacific Centre Shopping Mall. This senior leadership role involves cultivating a vibrant workplace culture that aligns with Simons’ values and commitment to exceptional retail service. The successful candidate will oversee Area Directors, Department Managers, and staff, ensuring an inviting and motivating environment for both customers and employees.

  • Set performance standards to ensure outstanding delivery of the Simons shopping experience in a busy downtown Vancouver setting.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle to attract diverse, skilled talent and implement extensive training programs to empower employee growth.
  • Provide ongoing employee support via health benefits, wellness initiatives, and savings plans, while serving as the primary resource for employee guidance and resolving workplace conflicts.
  • Promote an inclusive and safe workplace that respects diversity and adheres to relevant policies and regulations to maintain a compliant and welcoming environment.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of HR leadership experience within fast-paced, high-traffic retail environments, complemented by a bachelor's degree or equivalent; bilingualism considered an asset.
  • Strong planning and adaptive leadership skills with a track record of autonomously managing large, cross-functional teams while maintaining high morale.
  • Exceptional people skills demonstrated by fostering positive workplace culture and organizing meaningful employee recognition events.
  • Passion for customer service and ability to inspire teams in a diverse urban retail environment to uphold the Simons brand vision.
  • Proficient business and financial acumen with experience analyzing performance data and implementing solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Comfortable embracing and independently managing HR technologies and complex systems.

Additional Information

  • Active presence on the sales floor is expected to support customer engagement and team efforts.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet operational needs.
  • Required availability for training sessions at our West Vancouver Park Royal location before store opening.
  • The hiring process may extend, with selected candidates contacted within 4 to 6 weeks as preparations for the 2027 store opening continue.

Compensation and Culture

The salary range for this role is between $89,000 and $140,000, with final offers based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Simons places a strong emphasis on employee well-being and celebrates milestones such as service anniversaries and life events.
