Opportunity Overview
We are looking for a seasoned and commercially savvy Human Resources Director to spearhead our people strategy and organisational development across global markets. This role transcends traditional HR operations, focusing primarily on leadership, organisational effectiveness, senior stakeholder engagement, and strategic business partnership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the company’s people strategy aligned with international growth goals.
- Coach, influence, and challenge senior management on organisational and leadership issues.
- Build a culturally aligned, accountable, and high-performance organisation.
- Identify and nurture key talent, ensuring effective succession and leadership pipelines.
- Manage complex personnel issues with sound judgement and commercial insight.
- Enhance leadership capabilities, employee engagement, and organisational effectiveness across diverse markets.
- Serve as a strategic HR partner to CEO and international business leaders from regions including Europe, North America, the Middle East, China, and Asia.
- Bridge cultural gaps between Chinese and international management practices and communications.
- Support overseas expansion, organisational integration, and cross-border workforce planning initiatives.
- Lead organisation design, workforce and succession planning, and leadership development programs.
- Evaluate organisational capabilities and recommend structural or talent adjustments for growth.
- Drive change-management efforts and assist leaders through transformations.
- Ensure a consistent yet regionally sensitive company culture.
- Oversee full spectrum HR functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation/benefits, performance management, learning & development, and HR operations with strategic oversight.
- Maintain compliance of HR policies with local regulations across operational markets.
- Leverage people analytics to guide business decisions effectively.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organisational Development, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years progressively responsible HR experience with extensive international or cross-border exposure.
- Proven senior HR leadership experience (HR Director, Head of HR, Senior HR Business Partner).
- Background in high-growth technology sectors such as fintech, AI, internet, software, or digital platforms highly preferred.
- Strong expertise in people leadership, senior stakeholder management, organisation development, and leadership advisory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, performance management, learning, and HR operations.
- Deep understanding of Chinese business culture and past experience working with China-based teams or companies.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin mandatory due to the need for communication with international and Chinese stakeholders.
- Ability to engage senior leaders confidently, lead difficult conversations, and challenge decisions constructively.
- Excellent business acumen, cultural sensitivity, influencing skills, and executive presence.
- Adaptability to fast-changing, tech-driven international environments.
