About Equans Solar and Storage
Equans Solar and Storage, a division of Equans under the Bouygues Group umbrella, specializes in delivering comprehensive solar and energy storage solutions. With decades of expertise, the company supports the energy transition towards a low-carbon environment by enabling the deployment and integration of solar PV and hybrid energy systems. Operating across 15 countries with a team of over 1,500 solar and high voltage specialists, Equans has installed more than 6 GW of solar capacity worldwide and manages roughly 2 GW of solar PV assets along with 550 MWh of battery energy storage systems. The Australian branch consists of approximately 50 engineers and is growing swiftly due to increasing large-scale hybrid projects.
Role Overview
The APAC Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a pivotal role in both strategic planning and hands-on HR execution to support growth initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region, covering Australia, Japan, and upcoming markets. Reporting directly to the HR Director of Bouygues Energies and Services, this role balances advisory responsibilities with operational HR tasks, ensuring alignment to local legislation and global company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Function as a reliable advisor to leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, and employee relations.
- Assist the APAC leadership team in meeting business goals by implementing effective HR strategies.
- Lead organizational effectiveness programs through expansion and transformation phases.
- Provide counsel and management support on employee relations, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws across APAC countries.
- Oversee management of contracts, company policies, and human resources documentation.
- Coordinate performance reviews and goal-setting activities.
- Support initiatives around succession planning and talent development.
- Identify and nurture high-potential employees by fostering career growth opportunities.
- Develop HR-related metrics and dashboards to inform business decisions.
- Drive the adoption and enhancement of HR systems and workflows.
- Manage the implementation of regional HR policies and procedures.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts throughout the region.
- Facilitate internal communications and manage change processes.
Candidate Profile
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related fields.
- Between 5 and 10+ years of experience in HR roles including strategic business partnering.
- Demonstrable experience supporting diverse APAC countries.
- Expertise in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
Additional Information
Location: Pacific Highway, St Leonards, Sydney, NSW, Australia.
Contract: Permanent full-time onsite position.
