About Fieldpiece Europe
Fieldpiece Instruments is a global leader providing professional tools and technology to HVACR experts. As the company expands its operations throughout Europe, it is establishing the necessary local capabilities and infrastructure to bolster both its workforce and long-term business growth. A new office is being launched in the northern suburbs near Frankfurt (Bad Homburg).
Role Overview
We seek a seasoned, director-level strategic Human Resources Business Partner to join our European team of approximately 30 employees. This role is highly visible and hands-on, serving as the sole HR representative in Europe. The successful candidate will work closely with European leadership and the global HR teams to develop and implement people strategies that both support business expansion and meet employee needs across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic HR consultant to European leaders by aligning people strategies with business goals and the global HR agenda.
- Provide expert advice to leaders and employees throughout the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development, compensation and benefits, and employee relations.
- Customize and execute global HR programs to suit the unique cultural, regulatory, and business environments of Europe.
- Ensure adherence to European employment laws, collaborating with external counsel, payroll providers, and partners as required.
- Work with leadership on organizational structure, workforce planning, change management, and talent strategies to support regional growth.
- Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, develop leadership capabilities, and improve the overall employee experience.
- Utilize HR data and analytics to inform decision-making, optimize processes, and lead regional and global HR projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
- Over 10 years of progressive HR experience, with a proven record of leadership at the director level or equivalent senior HR position.
- Experience within multinational or global corporate environments.
- Comprehensive HR expertise across talent management, recruitment, employee relations, organizational development, compensation, performance management, and compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of employment practices and legal requirements spanning various European countries.
- Familiarity with global Human Capital Management (HCM) systems; Workday experience is preferred.
- Ability to think strategically while actively engaging in hands-on HR tasks in a dynamic organization.
- Strong business acumen, problem-solving skills, and capability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels and cultural contexts.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, coaching, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and operate effectively amid ambiguity and rapid change.
- Fluency in both German and English is required; proficiency in additional European languages such as French, Spanish, or Dutch is a plus.
Impact and Culture
- Success requires fluid movement between strategic vision and practical execution, building trusted relationships, making timely informed decisions, simplifying complex challenges, and owning outcomes.
- This position plays a critical role in developing the European organization by supporting leaders in team building, talent development, managing change, and implementing scalable HR practices as Fieldpiece expands.
- Fieldpiece’s core values include teamwork, urgency, respect, trust, continuous learning, and humility. These principles guide daily operations, collaboration, and customer service.
Why Join Fieldpiece
- This role offers a unique chance to shape and support European growth with the backing of a reputable global enterprise.
- As a privately held company committed to long-term investment in people, products, and future success, Fieldpiece promotes innovation, continuous improvement, and career development instead of short-term gains.
