About the Role and Company
We are collaborating with a well-established construction company currently undergoing major transformation in people management, systems, and business operations. This period of change presents an excellent opportunity to enhance your HR career by joining their HR team, assuming greater responsibility, and expanding your Business Partnering skills.
Candidate Profile
This position is ideal for a seasoned HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor ready to advance into an HR Business Partner capacity or an early-career HRBP seeking comprehensive experience. The role calls for strong all-round HR expertise, confidence in collaborating directly with managers, and experience in employee relations. Prior exposure to industries like construction, property, engineering, infrastructure, or other project-driven operational sectors is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers and operational leaders to oversee around five projects simultaneously, focusing on workforce planning.
- Anticipate workforce demand fluctuations as projects scale up or down and facilitate employee transitions between projects.
- Partner with the internal Talent team to support recruitment efforts aligned with project needs.
- Provide managers with practical HR advice and coaching to aid decision-making.
- Handle employee relations and performance management issues effectively.
- Assist managers during annual performance review cycles.
- Conduct weekly site visits to build robust relationships with project teams (personal vehicle required).
- Deliver presentations and facilitate training sessions as needed.
- Contribute actively to broader People & Culture and organizational transformation initiatives.
Work Environment and Benefits
The business is implementing a substantial five-year plan emphasizing people practices, HR infrastructure, and overall operational improvements. This role offers significant exposure beyond conventional HR functions, engaging in workforce planning, leadership development, cultural enhancement, performance management, and transformation initiatives.
The position is based in North Sydney, offering a hybrid work arrangement with one remote working day per week and Mondays designated as the main office day. Working hours are flexible around the standard 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM schedule.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is between $100,000 and $120,000 annually plus superannuation, contingent on experience.
