About the Role
This full-time, site-based position involves supporting and enforcing health, safety, and environmental policies specifically during rig move operations at multiple onshore locations throughout Saudi Arabia. The role demands hands-on expertise in field safety across phases such as rig-up, rig-down, and transportation, with a thorough understanding of industry and Saudi Aramco HSE requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee daily HSE adherence during rig move activities including dismantling, loading, transport, offloading, and rig-up.
- Perform regular safety inspections and hazard evaluations on rig move sites.
- Assist HSE Supervisor with risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and planning for lifts.
- Lead and take part in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and pre-job meetings with crew members and contractors.
- Ensure appropriate use of PPE and observe compliance with safety protocols.
- Spot hazardous actions and conditions, implementing corrective or preventative measures.
- Contribute to incident and accident reporting, investigation, and resolution processes.
- Maintain detailed HSE documentation, including reports and checklists.
- Encourage a safety-first culture among rig crew, drivers, crane operators, and field teams.
- Support emergency preparedness drills and check readiness of firefighting, first aid, and H2S safety equipment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or an engineering-related discipline.
- Between 3 and 5 years of professional HSE experience, with a minimum of 1 to 2 years focused on Rig Move or Drilling Operations.
- Holding NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, or an equivalent international HSE certification.
- Preferred certifications include H2S Awareness, First Aid, Fire Fighting, and Defensive Driving.
- Knowledgeable about Saudi Aramco's HSE standards and on-site safety mandates.
- Strong understanding of lifting procedures, safety measures for heavy machinery, and transportation hazards.
- Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
