Job description
Role Overview
As an HSE Officer based in Riyadh, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a safe work environment by supporting the implementation and monitoring of the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and project-specific HSE plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support site management in enforcing the corporate HSE Management System alongside project-specific safety protocols.
- Perform inspections of work areas, methods, personnel, machinery, materials, plants, and equipment to ensure compliance.
- Promote HSE awareness among workers through motivational safety talks.
- Lead incident investigations and recommend corrective procedures to prevent recurrence.
- Advise and coordinate the application of the Work Permit System effectively.
- Inspect Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage and enforce 100% compliance among all site personnel.
- Report regularly to the Health, Safety, and Environment Manager (HSEM) concerning HSE status and promotional activities at the site.
- Organize screening and HSE induction sessions for new workers.
- Oversee the provision of first aid services on site.
- Conduct regular fire drills and manage procurement, inspection, and maintenance of fire extinguishers.
Qualifications and Certifications
Mandatorily, candidates must hold ADIS or PDIS certification along with the NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC).
