Key Responsibilities
- Establish, review, implement, and oversee Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Carry out site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments regularly.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local safety regulations and company standards.
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports.
- Lead toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training sessions for staff.
- Supervise correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe work procedures.
- Maintain and organize HSE documentation and records meticulously.
- Coordinate emergency response activities and conduct safety drills effectively.
- Promote growth and capability development in personnel by providing consistent feedback on the management system.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years overall experience in HSE roles.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience specifically in utility projects.
- 2 to 3 years of experience conducting HSE audits.
- NEBOSH Diploma is preferred.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Additional qualifications: Completion of Abu Dhabi Public Health Center Practitioner Course.
- Familiarity with Abu Dhabi HSE legislation and codes of practice.
- Holding a valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
