Job description
Overview
Egatee Online Nigeria is seeking a dynamic HR/People Lead based in Abuja to oversee and enhance the company's people operations within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. This full-time role involves comprehensive management of employee experiences and upholding HR policies that ensure a compliant and productive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and administer seamless onboarding procedures, including documentation, equipment readiness, and orientation activities.
- Collaborate with department leaders to clarify job roles and establish 90-day post-hire integration plans, while collecting and acting on onboarding feedback for improvements.
- Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries and grievances, fostering a supportive and constructive workplace culture through engagement initiatives.
- Address conflicts, manage disciplinary matters professionally, and conduct exit interviews with sensitivity.
- Encourage employee wellbeing, recognition programs, and initiatives designed to enhance retention.
- Develop, implement, and continuously update HR policies and the employee handbook aligned with Nigerian labor regulations and industry best practices.
- Administer leave management, contractual agreements, and maintain accurate HR records.
- Provide management with guidance on policy interpretation and changes within the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five years of HR experience, including at least one year focused on onboarding, employee relations, and policy formulation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Nigerian Labor Act, complemented by strong communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and human resource information systems (HRIS); payroll system experience is advantageous.
- A discreet, empathetic approach combined with an ability to balance employee needs with business objectives.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is between ₦300,000 and ₦350,000 monthly.
