Overview
We are seeking a seasoned HR Manager with over 15 years of experience to lead the human resources function at a fast-growing quick service restaurant (QSR) business based in Shivaji Nagar, Bengaluru. Reporting directly to senior leadership including the CEO, MD, or CHRO, this role will focus on developing a strategic and operational HR framework across restaurants, corporate offices, and support functions to foster a high-performing, employee-focused culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the comprehensive HR strategy and aligned people roadmap that supports scaling business objectives.
- Manage manpower planning for multiple locations including new store launches, existing restaurant outlets, corporate offices, and regional operations.
- Establish effective talent acquisition strategies, especially for frontline hiring, to meet rapid expansion needs.
- Promote employee retention, job satisfaction, organizational culture, and overall employee experience throughout the organization.
- Design performance management systems incorporating KRAs, incentive schemes, and career advancement pathways.
- Oversee learning and development programs targeting restaurant leadership, store management, and frontline skill enhancement.
- Administer compensation structures, benefits, payroll controls, and sales/store incentive programs.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, statutory regulations, POSH guidelines, and internal HR policies.
- Drive leadership succession planning and develop leadership pipelines for essential roles.
- Collaborate with operations teams to optimize productivity, reduce absenteeism and attrition, and control manpower costs.
- Create and maintain HR dashboards with metrics like attrition, hiring turnaround time, manpower productivity, engagement levels, and costs.
- Lead digital HR transformation focusing on HRIS, automation, digital recruitment, and analytics-driven decisions.
- Strengthen and preserve the organization's culture, values, internal communication, and change management programs.
- Handle employee relations and resolve complex issues across diverse locations.
- Manage and mentor the HR team including regional and restaurant-specific HR personnel.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 15 years progressive human resources experience, preferably in QSR, hospitality, retail, FMCG, or other industries with large frontline workforces.
- Experience managing extensive, geographically distributed teams.
- Proven success in high-growth, multi-unit, multi-location environments.
- In-depth knowledge of talent acquisition, HR operations, employee relations, learning and development, compensation and benefits, performance management, and labor law compliance.
- Strong commercial acumen with understanding of store financials, workforce productivity, and profit and loss responsibilities.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Advanced degree in HR (MBA or PGDM) preferred.
