About the Role
Studio 1 Interiors, located in OMR Chennai, is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to oversee comprehensive HR operations across its showrooms, office, factory, and project/site teams. The successful candidate will take responsibility for recruitment, employee management, attendance tracking, payroll coordination, HR policy development, performance management, and fostering employee engagement.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions, advertising vacancies on various platforms, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.
- Handle employee onboarding, maintain comprehensive employee records, address grievances, enforce discipline, and perform exit interviews.
- Monitor attendance and leave records, liaise with accounting for payroll processing, verify salary components, and respond to payroll-related queries.
- Develop and oversee performance management systems by setting KPIs, conducting evaluations, and managing probation, salary revisions, and promotions.
- Establish, update, and communicate HR policies relating to attendance, leave, discipline, and workplace conduct.
- Enhance employee engagement through organizing meetings, recognition programs, and addressing retention challenges.
- Ensure statutory and labor law compliance by maintaining records and coordinating with external consultants for PF, ESI, professional tax, gratuity, bonus, and other legal requirements.
- Prepare regular HR reports covering headcount, recruitment status, attendance, leave, performance, and manpower needs.
- Coordinate workforce planning to align staffing with business needs and support organizational restructuring.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Management, or related discipline.
- 3 to 6 years of relevant HR experience managing full spectrum HR functions.
- Strong skills in recruitment, employee management, payroll, attendance tracking, and statutory compliance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, documentation skills, and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and HR/payroll software.
- Experience managing staff across multiple company locations is beneficial.

- Recruitment turnaround time and quality of hires.
- Employee retention and grievance resolution efficiency.
- Attendance/punctuality metrics and payroll accuracy.
- Accuracy of employee documentation and completion of performance reviews.
- Compliance with HR regulations and overall workforce productivity.
Reporting Structure and Coordination
- Reports directly to the Managing Director/Management.
- Collaborates with Accounts, Sales, Interior Designers, Factory, Site Supervisors, Administration, and Management teams.
