About the Job
Galaxy Home Automation LLP is seeking their inaugural HR Generalist to report directly to the Founder, Ketan Shah. This role encompasses ownership of the entire employee experience — from crafting job descriptions and managing interviews to executing monthly payroll and ensuring compliance with Indian labour statutes across multiple states. As the team expands, this individual will be the primary resource for policy interpretation and workplace concerns.
Key Duties
- End-to-end recruitment management including job listings, liaising with recruiters, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and extending offers.
- Administer monthly payroll ensuring punctual and accurate salary payments.
- Ensure adherence to statutory compliance requirements such as Provident Fund, ESIC, professional tax, and Shop & Establishments registrations across Galaxy's operating regions.
- Create, update, and enforce HR policies covering leave, attendance, conduct, and expense reimbursements.
- Coordinate onboarding and exit formalities including necessary paperwork and management of company assets.
- Maintain comprehensive employee records and HR MIS for all office and field locations.
- Collaborate with the Founder on organizational design as the company grows to additional cities.
- Serve as the first contact for employee queries, grievances, and workplace issues.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications:
- Between 2 to 4 years of experience as an HR Generalist managing recruitment, payroll, and compliance functions.
- Familiarity with Indian labour laws and statutory compliance procedures including PF, ESIC, professional tax, and Shops & Establishments Act.
- Practical experience administering payroll, preferably using recognized payroll or HRMS software.
- Comfort and agility working independently in a small, quickly evolving business environment managing all HR responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and organizational capabilities.
Desirable Attributes:
- Background in companies with operations spanning multiple cities or involving field sales teams.
- Experience establishing HR systems from the ground up in a growing SME context.
- Familiarity with recruiting for sales, technical, or field roles.
Compensation
Offered salary ranges from ₹15,000 to ₹30,000 monthly, dependent on experience.
