Role Overview
The HR Generalist will deliver comprehensive support across various human resources functions, encompassing recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, HR administration, compensation and benefits, training coordination, and ensuring compliance with UAE Labour Law. This role contributes significantly to enhancing employee engagement and supporting organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment activities including screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and preparing employment contracts.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to determine workforce needs and coordinate onboarding and induction processes for new entrants.
- Serve as primary contact for employee HR queries, support grievance handling and resolution, and drive initiatives that promote employee relations and engagement.
- Maintain HR records, process employee lifecycle events such as confirmations, transfers, promotions, and terminations in compliance with legal requirements.
- Assist with payroll accuracy, benefits administration, leave management, attendance tracking, and participate in compensation and salary review processes.
- Coordinate performance appraisal cycles, track development plans, and assist managers with performance improvement efforts.
- Identify and coordinate training programs, supporting employee development and succession planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law and facilitate visa, work permit, and other governmental HR documentation processes.
- Maintain confidentiality and support internal and external audits, HR policy formulation, organizational change management, employee wellness initiatives, and HR system/process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related discipline.
- Over 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within the UAE context, working across multiple HR disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of UAE Labour Law and employment regulations.
- Preferred certifications include CIPD Level 3 or 5, SHRM-CP, PHR, or any recognized HR qualification.
Additional Information
- Technical skills: Experience with HRIS and payroll systems, proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), HR reporting and data analytics capabilities.
- Behavioral abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, customer service orientation, problem-solving, confidentiality, professionalism, organizational and time management skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
