Job Purpose
This position supports the People & Culture strategic agenda by enforcing and evolving policies, processes, and governance. The role entails providing sound counsel, coaching, and guidance to enhance managerial and employee engagement, while identifying continual improvement opportunities. The advisor will also support corporate initiatives and ensure their effective execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and anticipate short, medium, and long-term organizational needs, aligning People & Culture activities accordingly.
- Develop and implement HR solutions that drive business improvement, operational efficiency, employee engagement, and consistent people management.
- Offer expert advice and coaching to managers and employees on employment matters including policy interpretation, legislation, disciplinary actions, and capability procedures.
- Encourage managers to assume responsibility for effective personnel management, modeling best practices and adding organizational value.
- Create and maintain People & Culture policies, procedures, and governance frameworks that are compliant and aligned with both corporate and local requirements.
- Assist with international mobility by managing policies and coordinating expatriate assignments with relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners and People & Culture teams to support HR projects, corporate plans, and priority tasks.
- Work with Shared Services to ensure accurate and efficient processing of employee records, administration, and People & Culture transactions.
- Promote and support competency-based recruitment and selection methods.
- Coordinate with governmental relations to assure compliance with local regulations.
Daily Responsibilities
- Provide timely and practical People & Culture support to employees and managers aligned with policy and employment laws.
- Guide application of policies dealing with conduct, capability, performance, absence, and other employee concerns.
- Coach managers to handle employee matters effectively with fair and consistent approaches.
- Contribute to the development and local implementation of HR policies and tailored procedures supporting corporate standards.
- Evaluate People & Culture processes and recommend improvements for increased effectiveness and user experience.
- Keep abreast of evolving business needs and translate them into appropriate HR initiatives.
- Provide guidance on disciplinary, grievance, capability, and performance-related case management.
- Support execution of corporate and local HR projects, facilitating communication, implementation, and change management.
- Partner with Global Mobility and other teams to manage international assignments in keeping with policy and stakeholder requirements.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of employee-related data and processes through cooperation with Shared Services.
- Champion best practices, continuous improvement, and foster accountability to enhance manager and employee engagement in People & Culture.
Candidate Profile
- Education: Recognized certificate in Business Administration; relevant work experience may offset lack of formal qualifications.
- Experience: Proven background in human resources covering the complete employee lifecycle; international organizational exposure is advantageous.
- Certifications: CIPD Level 5 certificate desirable but not mandatory.
- Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication, stakeholder management, coaching capability, confidentiality in sensitive matters, influencing ability, and professionalism in multicultural settings.
- Technical and Analytical Skills: Skilled in problem-solving to identify issues and recommend solutions, meticulous attention to HR documentation and case management, proficient with HR systems and Microsoft Office, adept at managing multiple priorities, and consistent policy interpretation and application.
