Houseperson - Housekeeping (Full Time)

About the Role

The Houseperson position at The Seabird Ocean Resort and Spa, managed by Hyatt, is key to maintaining the facility's cleanliness and supporting housekeeping operations. This role involves organizing housekeeping supplies, performing deep cleaning tasks in guest rooms, and assisting room attendants with linen management. The role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, physical capability to handle lifting and moving moderate weights, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout the hotel premises, ensuring all areas meet established standards.
• Manage inventory and restock housekeeping supplies efficiently.
• Assist housekeeping staff in deep cleaning guest rooms and handling linen tasks.
• Perform duties with professionalism, adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Work flexible hours including morning and evening shifts on any day of the week, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong commitment to guest satisfaction in a dynamic environment.
• Availability to work various shifts, especially during weekends and holidays.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive and cooperative attitude.
• Physical fitness to execute job tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and performing bending, squatting, leaning, and rotating movements.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior housekeeping experience in hotels, resorts, cruise ships, or offices is advantageous.
• Familiarity with HotSOS or Rex systems is preferred.
