Role Overview
As a Houseperson, you will play a vital role in elevating the guests' experience by ensuring the Housekeeping team is well-supported and that guestrooms and public areas are maintained to high standards. Your involvement will directly contribute to guests feeling welcomed and valued throughout their stay.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver courteous, professional, and engaging service consistently
- Adhere strictly to Housekeeping department guidelines and standards
- Support Room Attendants in efficiently preparing guest rooms
- Manage and stock inventory within Housekeeping storage areas
- Promptly respond to special guest requests, like providing cribs, cots, or extra towels
- Collect soiled linens, trash, and recyclables from Room Attendants’ carts and closets
- Perform cleaning of carpets and upholstered furniture
- Abide by departmental policies and protocol
- Report maintenance issues as they arise
- Be available to cover overnight shifts as necessary
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications and Attributes
- Previous experience in housekeeping is advantageous
- Strong organizational capabilities paired with effective time management
- Ability to operate collaboratively with minimal supervision within a team environment
- Keen attention to guest needs with a professional and welcoming demeanor
Physical Demands
- Extended periods of standing and walking during shifts
- Regular lifting and carrying of loads exceeding 40 pounds
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting activities
