Role Overview

As a Houseperson at Chartwell Hospitality, your main responsibility is to ensure that public spaces are consistently clean and orderly. You will collaborate with the housekeeping team to assist with lifting heavy items and fulfill priority tasks. Additionally, your vigilance will help in identifying missing items or areas in need of repair. Interacting courteously with guests and providing assistance or directing them to the right support when necessary will also be part of your daily duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections throughout your shift to maintain cleanliness and organization in common areas, removing or replacing displaced items as needed.
• Assist housekeeping personnel with demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and managing urgent requests efficiently.
• Maintain a sharp eye by reporting any lost or found belongings, as well as damages or repairs required within the premises.
• Offer polite and attentive service to guests, addressing their inquiries and securing further assistance when appropriate.

Requirements

• Some prior experience in housekeeping is advantageous.
• Able to communicate effectively in basic English.
• Proficient in operating cleaning equipment like vacuum cleaners and carpet cleaning machines.
