Job Summary

Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper and Senior Manager of Housekeeping, the Housekeeping Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing all housekeeping operations to maintain cleanliness, order, and appearance according to established quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and document items requiring repair and ensure follow-up actions.
• Propose recommendations for painting, repairs, furniture updates, relocation of equipment, and space utilization to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Collaborate with the Engineering department to arrange necessary repairs and maintenance, and track open work orders.
• Monitor and reassess areas not attended within the expected timeframes for corrective action.
• Ensure that all equipment and assigned areas are thoroughly cleaned and maintained.
• Enforce compliance with employee grooming standards as per the Employee Handbook.
• Support housekeeping coordination tasks such as communications when workload allows.
• Assist in preparing and updating the housekeeping duty roster regularly by forecasting peak periods at least three days in advance.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience as a housekeeping supervisor within a five-star hotel environment.
• Strong command of both written and spoken English.
• Proficiency with computer applications relevant to the role.
• Effective training abilities to guide and develop housekeeping staff.
• Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
