Role Overview

We are searching for a motivated and experienced Housekeeping Manager to lead our team in Melbourne, Victoria. This pivotal position is essential to the successful operation of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

• Lead and inspire the housekeeping team, driving both performance and productivity through active leadership.
• Maintain excellent relationships with other hotel departments including General Manager, Front Office, and Maintenance.
• Manage staff effectively, including training, development, scheduling, task allocation, and performance enhancement.
• Oversee accurate record keeping related to room counts, payroll, and billing, ensuring compliance with the Hospitality Industry General Award.
• Implement and uphold standard operating procedures aligning with client expectations.
• Lead workplace safety initiatives, adhering to both client and company policies, ensuring a safe environment for all employees.
• Perform hands-on daily room inspections within a 4 or 5 star housekeeping department to ensure service standards and arrival time commitments are met.
• Experience managing outsourced housekeeping services is essential.
• Maintain a professional appearance and present a positive, engaging attitude while interacting with guests and hotel staff.
• Must be willing and able to work on a rotating roster as necessary.
