Housekeeping Executive

About the Role

Join JW Marriott in Bengaluru as a Housekeeping Executive responsible for ensuring impeccable cleanliness and quality in guest rooms, public areas, and other hotel spaces. This non-management full-time position involves inspecting rooms after cleaning duties, running reports to track room status, addressing discrepancies, coordinating with multiple departments, and assisting housekeeping management with daily operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, pool, and public areas post-cleaning to verify quality standards are met.
• Generate and analyze sold room reports, update room statuses, and prioritize cleaning schedules.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Document and resolve issues involving discrepant rooms with the Front Desk team.
• Manage communication of room assignments and inform next shifts of pending concerns.
• Support hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching of housekeeping staff.
• Adhere to safety and security rules, report hazards, maintenance issues, accidents, and complete related training.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality while protecting company assets.
• Provide warm and respectful guest interactions, anticipating and responding to service needs including assistance for guests with disabilities.
• Physically manage tasks such as moving objects up to 55 pounds independently and heavier items with help, operating housekeeping carts over varied surfaces, and performing repetitive physical movements.
• Use computers and point of sale systems to access work-related data, reading and verifying information accurately.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• At least one year of relevant work experience.
• Minimum one year of supervisory experience in housekeeping or related fields.
