Role Overview
The Housekeeping Attendant position, based in Doha, Qatar, is a full-time role responsible for ensuring that all facilities ranging from classrooms, studios, offices, restrooms, and communal spaces remain clean, safe, and well-maintained. Daily tasks include dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing surfaces, and laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and uniforms hygienically. The role also includes restocking supply materials, reporting maintenance concerns, adhering to health and safety protocols, and operating cleaning equipment correctly. Additionally, the attendant will interact professionally with students and staff, handle housekeeping requests promptly, assist in event setups, and comply with company standards and training.
Qualifications
- Proficient in laundry tasks including the proper handling, cleaning, and organization of fabric items.
- Strong communication abilities for effective coordination, problem reporting, and courteous engagement with stakeholders.
- Customer service skills to respond quickly and politely to housekeeping needs, fostering a welcoming environment.
- Well-developed organizational capabilities for managing cleaning duties, supply storage, and scheduling.
- Capacity to follow detailed training and operational procedures related to cleaning techniques, equipment use, and safety standards.
- Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or comparable facility maintenance roles is advantageous.
- Familiarity with safe cleaning chemical handling and basic occupational health and safety standards is preferred.
- Dependability, meticulous attention to detail, and physical ability to perform labor-intensive tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long durations.
- Basic proficiency in English and legal eligibility to work in Doha, Qatar are favorable.
