Housekeeper - Public Area

About the Role

Join Courtyard by Marriott in Riyadh as a Housekeeper specializing in maintaining public and employee areas. Perform thorough cleaning of showers, restrooms, and glass surfaces using approved chemicals and equipment. Attend to floors, dust surfaces, empty trash and ashtrays, and inspect furniture to report any damage.

Ensure lighting fixtures are clean and operational, place safety signs to manage traffic when necessary, and coordinate directly with other departments for urgent repairs. Respond promptly to guest and departmental requests, and proactively identify maintenance or preventive issues in public spaces or guest rooms.

Responsibilities

• Clean common showers, restrooms, and glass in public and staff areas using designated supplies and equipment.
• Maintain floors and dust surfaces in assigned spaces.
• Empty waste bins, ashtrays, and properly dispose of refuse.
• Inspect furniture conditions, noting breaks, tears, or stains, and report damages.
• Clean and maintain lighting fixtures.
• Display caution signs as needed to manage foot traffic safely.
• Seek urgent repairs by liaising with other departments.
• Attend immediately to guest and departmental requests.
• Detect and report preventive or maintenance issues in public or guest areas.
• Comply with all company safety policies, reporting hazards or injuries and completing related training.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance and uphold company confidentiality and property security.
• Support colleagues respectfully and contribute to team goals.
• Meet quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Execute physical tasks such as bending, reaching, lifting objects up to 55 pounds unaided, and assist with heavier loads.
• Operate equipment including push/pull of maintenance carts over inclined or uneven surfaces.
• Work standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking extensively during full shifts.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Preferences

No formal secondary education or equivalent is required. Prior experience or supervisory background is not necessary. No licenses or certifications are required.

Additional Information

Position is non-management, full time, and onsite at the Olaya Street, Al Murooj District, Riyadh location. An annual company bonus is provided.
