Housekeeper - Paediatrics

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join the Children's Unit at The Princess Royal Hospital in Telford. This role is vital in supporting the ward team by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the department.
• Manage department stock levels including ordering supplies.
• Assist patients during meal times with necessary support.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience with cleaning tasks, including the use of chemicals and equipment.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Capacity to work independently, prioritising tasks effectively.
• IT literacy is essential; knowledge of stock control and Oracle systems is advantageous.
• An understanding of health and safety practices relevant to a demanding environment.
• Previous healthcare setting experience is preferred but not essential.
• Commitment to personal development and supporting nursing care teams in enhancing patient experiences.
