Key Responsibilities

• Ensure exceptional comfort, safety, and cleanliness for all guests in accordance with Conrad Singapore Orchard standards.
• Participate in recruitment and provide training to housekeeping personnel to uphold service and cleanliness benchmarks.
• Manage daily operations including staff scheduling to maintain superior cleanliness of guest rooms and public spaces.
• Assign daily cleaning tasks and monitor productivity levels to optimize efficiency.
• Create and maintain a safe work environment and oversee external contractors working on hotel premises.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of cleaning equipment, guest supplies, and cleaning materials.
• Develop and supervise cleaning programs to sustain high-quality standards across all public areas.
• Analyze occupancy projections to forecast staffing needs appropriately.
• Communicate effectively with Assistant Manager and other departments to align housekeeping services with hotel requirements.
• Conduct daily inspections of rooms and public areas, identify deficiencies, and ensure follow-up actions are implemented.
• Coordinate with engineering for maintenance needs and track work order completion.
• Manage cleaning schedules and maintenance for guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and staff zones.
• Ensure all housekeeping operations comply with company corporate and core standards.
• Monitor labor and operating cost control programs within housekeeping.
• Handle employee records and personnel updates accurately.
• Stay informed of all hotel and department policies and procedures and uphold them accordingly.
• Maintain up-to-date online training resources and facilitate staff development.
• Organize monthly staff meetings to foster communication and morale.
• Understand laundry and uniform room operations, managing complaints and maintenance standards as needed.
• Participate in performance evaluations and staff disciplinary actions, ensuring timely follow-up.
• Gain understanding of departmental financials including P&L, budget expenditures, and labor costs.
• Respond appropriately to hotel safety and emergency situations.
• Complete additional tasks or special projects as assigned by hotel management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient written and verbal English communication skills necessary for daily operational needs.
• Additional language proficiency is beneficial to assist communication with guests and team members.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a team, resolve issues, and make informed decisions in a dynamic environment.
• Prior experience in housekeeping or supervisory roles preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
• Flexibility to work on a rotational shift schedule, including weekends and public holidays as required.
