Job description
Position Overview
This role is based at Lymington New Forest Hospital, with working hours generally from 11:00 to 19:00 Monday to Friday and occasional weekend overtime. It is a full-time position requiring 40 hours weekly with a 30-minute unpaid break each day.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean various parts of the hospital including offices, communal areas, staircases, kitchens, washrooms, and other assigned locations to the established standards and maintain cleanliness consistently.
- Complete required training programs to support job performance, including BiCs License to Practise certification and deep-cleaning techniques.
- Perform equipment inspections, conduct stock requisitions, and follow operational procedures to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Assist catering staff during busy periods and events by serving food and beverages and managing payment transactions on the till.
Candidate Requirements
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Required to undergo an enhanced DBS check upon successful hiring.
- Previous cleaning experience is preferred but willingness to learn will also be considered.
- A customer-focused approach with ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Strong communication skills to ensure excellent service provision.
- Familiarity with technology is advantageous since the role involves usage of mobile phones and applications.
