Housekeeper

Position Overview

The Housekeeper will ensure that the entire facility remains spotless and hygienic to safeguard the well-being of clients and staff. Responsibilities encompass cleaning all areas of the facility, including interior and exterior spaces, maintaining dust-free surfaces, vacuuming, and sanitation of bathrooms. The role also involves managing laundry duties such as washing, folding, and ironing linens and towels. Attention to detail in the upkeep of the home, office, and group rooms is essential, with all items kept tidy and organized. The Housekeeper is expected to report any items requiring repair or replacement and participate in staff meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Regular dusting of all living spaces and furniture, fluffing couch cushions, cleaning windows, mopping, and vacuuming floors in assigned areas
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of bathrooms, including tubs, toilets, sinks, and floors
• Cleaning and organizing kitchen appliances and surfaces such as refrigerator, stove, cabinets, counters, and cupboards
• Removing dust and cobwebs from blinds and ensuring they are clean
• Keeping storage and laundry rooms tidy and organized
• Daily bed-making and changing linens as needed
• Handling laundry tasks for linens and towels daily, including folding and ironing
• Cleaning outdoor areas like patios, decks, railings, BBQ grills, and pool areas
• Providing turn-down service for beds
• Performing weekly deep cleaning of refrigerator, cupboards, oven, range, and range hood
• Checking and replacing light bulbs daily as necessary

Qualifications

• Previous experience in facility maintenance is preferred

Additional Details

• Employment is full-time with a schedule from Saturday through Wednesday
• The work location is onsite in Irving, Texas
• Compensation ranges from $16 to $18 per hour
