About Quantum Care and the Role
Quantum Care is a charitable organisation supporting over 2,000 seniors across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, and Essex, focusing on enhancing residents' dignity, comfort, and joy. We are currently recruiting a Housekeeper for our Fosse House care home in St Albans, which accommodates 81 residents and offers residential, dementia, respite, and day care services in a welcoming environment with extensive gardens and engaging activities.
Working Hours and Pay
This is a full-time or part-time permanent position, with shifts spanning 20-35 hours weekly. Shift options include 9am to 2pm or 2pm to 5pm on weekdays and alternate weekends. Compensation is £13.08 per hour on weekdays and £13.58 per hour during weekends.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Create a homely, supportive atmosphere to enrich our residents' quality of life.
- Perform a comprehensive range of housekeeping duties such as cleaning and sanitising resident rooms, bathrooms, and communal spaces.
- Change and make beds diligently and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Assist with laundry responsibilities including restocking linens and supplies.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety policies and infection control procedures.
Required Qualities and Experience
- Relevant housekeeping experience or a willingness to learn the necessary skills.
- A positive, compassionate, and respectful attitude towards residents.
- Strong attention to detail ensuring cleanliness standards are upheld.
- Effective communication and an aptitude for teamwork.
- Knowledge of hygiene protocols, cleaning techniques, and infection prevention.
- Ability to work independently with effective time management.
- Reliability, flexibility, and a dedicated work ethic.
