Position Summary

This role involves delivering cleaning services mainly within hotel guest rooms. The housekeeper is expected to address guest requests professionally, report any maintenance needs promptly, and maintain detailed records of duties performed and time allocation. The job includes managing a cart stocked with cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities. Occasionally, housekeeping tasks may extend to public areas, laundry, and offices.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms and make beds according to inspection standards using proper supplies and equipment.
• Report maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel in a timely fashion.
• Maintain accurate logs of work performed and hours worked.
• Respond attentively to guest requests.
• Stock and replenish carts with necessary linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies, and handle trash, dirty linens, and lost & found items daily.
• Assist in housekeeping duties in other hotel areas such as public spaces and laundry as needed.
• Participate actively in trainings and department meetings, providing feedback to improve policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Dependability, responsibility, honesty with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team.
• Capability to work efficiently under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to clean approximately 16 rooms daily, lift or move up to 30 lbs, push or pull a 75 lb cart, bend, lift, kneel, and stay on feet for prolonged periods.
• Good visual and olfactory senses to identify dust, dirt, lint, hair, and odors for effective cleaning.
• Attention to detail regarding cleanliness and presentation of rooms.

Work Conditions and Additional Information

• Full-time schedule comprising 40 hours per week, requiring flexibility to work any day including weekends and holidays.
• This is a continuous posting with variable start dates.
• Position classified as Housekeeper I, non-exempt FLSA status.
• Does not involve driving, financial responsibilities, or direct care of minors or patients.
• The position includes security access and is considered a position of trust.

Salary and Benefits
