Job Overview
As the Hotel Manager, you will command the entire hotel operation with the goal to boost performance, profitability, and ROI. Your main responsibilities include cultivating a positive and efficient workplace, delivering top-tier guest services, and maintaining compliance with operational and quality standards. Additionally, you will spearhead efforts to uphold and upgrade hotel standards in line with new industry trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and supervise financial and operational strategies that align with hotel objectives.
- Prepare yearly budgets and business plans, proposing capital enhancements to improve assets and strengthen brand loyalty.
- Ensure exceptional guest service by promptly addressing feedback and resolving issues.
- Preserve high product quality and service benchmarks throughout hotel facilities.
- Implement preventative maintenance programs to protect hotel physical assets.
- Identify strategic marketing prospects and design tactical sales plans to boost revenue.
- Manage marketing plan execution and yield management to increase revenue, RevPAR, and occupancy.
- Maximize profit from banquet/outlet spaces and other revenue streams like IT and rentals.
- Coordinate with Regional Corporate Office to achieve peak productivity across hotel operations.
- Maintain compliance with government legislation through liaison with authorities.
- Lead colleague development initiatives to improve operating and service quality.
- Build and sustain relationships with community contacts to enhance visibility and address media/community inquiries effectively.
- Supervise security operations to ensure a safe environment for guests, staff, and assets.
- Manage a proactive Human Resources function for staff motivation, training, payroll, benefits, and regulatory adherence.
- Create a supportive work atmosphere with ongoing mentorship and formal/informal feedback.
- Operate with a focus on safety and environmental responsibility, upholding health and safety guidelines.
- Strictly follow hotel procedures regarding environment, health, and safety.
