Host/Hostess

Position Summary

As a Host or Hostess at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Doha, your primary role is to welcome guests warmly, identify their party size, and seat them at a clean table. This includes arranging chairs, placing menus, and guiding guests through dining areas, including accommodating special seating requests. You will ensure proper table settings with clean silverware, napkins, and up-to-date menus, while maintaining overall cleanliness and safety of the dining environment during your shift.

Responsibilities

You will monitor the dining rooms for available seating, service quality, guest safety, and well-being. Additionally, you must comply with all company safety protocols, report any hazards or incidents, and complete mandatory safety trainings. Upholding a neat personal appearance and professional conduct is mandatory, as is maintaining confidentiality and protecting company property. Communication should be clear and courteous, including telephone etiquette. Collaboration and support within the team are essential to achieve common goals. You will also handle physical requirements such as standing or moving for long periods and lifting or moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Other reasonable duties may be assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with no prior related work or supervisory experience necessary. No certifications or licenses are required.
