Role Overview

• Acquire in-depth knowledge of the restaurant's concept, menu offerings, and ongoing promotions to clearly communicate details to guests.
• Handle phone communications professionally, ensuring accurate recording and transmission of guest details and requests.
• Manage reservations via phone, email, online booking platforms, and in-person, meticulously updating the reservation system.
• Confirm all bookings by phone or email within established timelines and coordinate seating arrangements with management prior to service hours.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate table availability in the reservation system, ensuring rapid reinstatement of freed tables.
• Assist with billing and cashier tasks in adherence to restaurant policies when necessary.
• Offer guests warm farewells and express sincere appreciation for their patronage.
• Monitor cleanliness of all public areas including restrooms, promptly notifying management or housekeeping if standards are not met.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to prevent misunderstandings, especially regarding floor plans, seating, and guest requests.
• Embrace teamwork by proactively supporting colleagues with operational duties such as order taking, clearing, and serving food as required.
• Uphold grooming and appearance guidelines to project professionalism at all times.
• Attune to guest needs through active listening and observation to consistently exceed expectations.
• Demonstrate proficiency in English communication both spoken and written, with additional language skills considered an advantage.
• Approach guests with warmth, enthusiasm, and a friendly demeanor, skillfully handling any challenging situations.
• Create memorable "WOW" experiences by delighting guests through thoughtful gestures and attentive service.

Skills & Qualifications

• Possession of a High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• At least two years of experience serving as a hostess in a fast-paced, high-volume food and beverage setting.
• Competence in understanding guest expectations and delivering top-tier customer service.
• Familiarity with Table Management Systems is an advantage.
• Capability to multitask effectively while managing the flow of service.
• Experience handling telephone inquiries and written communications professionally.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications including MS Office.
• Strong ability to communicate clearly with team members and management.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
