Role Overview

• Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the restaurant’s concept and food & beverage offerings, including current promotions, to effectively communicate to customers.
• Exhibit professional telephone manners, ensuring all guest inquiries and requests are accurately recorded and relayed.
• Manage reservations via phone, email, online booking platforms, and in-person, updating the reservations system according to established protocols.
• Confirm all bookings through follow-up communications within set timeframes, coordinating seating arrangements with management ahead of service times.
• Maintain an up-to-date reservation system reflecting accurate table availability, promptly reinstating open tables.
• Assist with billing and cashier duties in alignment with restaurant standards when required.
• Offer polite and warm farewells to guests, expressing gratitude for their visit.
• Ensure cleanliness of public areas, including restrooms, during operational hours, and promptly inform supervisors or housekeeping when issues arise.
• Maintain clear and direct communication with team members and supervisors to prevent misunderstandings, especially regarding seating plans and guest requirements.
• Participate collaboratively as a team member, supporting colleagues with operational duties such as order taking, table clearing, and food service assistance when necessary.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance codes consistently to reflect professionalism.
• Attentively observe and interpret guest behavior to understand needs and deliver exceptional service that exceeds expectations.
• Communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written, with additional language skills considered advantageous, presenting menus and recommendations confidently.
• Exhibit a friendly, enthusiastic demeanor, managing challenging guest interactions with poise and aiming to create memorable ‘WOW’ experiences through thoughtful gestures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum education level high school or equivalent preferred.
• At least two years of experience working as a hostess in busy food and beverage environments is required.
• Prior exposure to table management systems and understanding of service workflows is advantageous.
• Competence in handling telephone and written customer communications professionally.
• Basic familiarity with computer software such as MS Office.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills are essential.
• Must be currently residing in the UAE.
