Opportunity Overview

We currently seek a full-time Horticulturist/Groundsperson to join our dedicated Grounds team responsible for managing an extensive 52 hectares of grounds over two campuses: Preparatory and Senior School. This role suits candidates looking for stable employment and eager to employ their landscaping and horticultural expertise in a rewarding, team-focused environment.

Role Responsibilities and Expertise

  • Manage landscaping, gardening, and ground maintenance across both campuses.
  • Possibly engage in sports ground management as part of duties.
  • Operate independently on projects as well as collaboratively within the team.
  • Apply skills in irrigation systems, pesticide and fertilizer application, maintaining healthy grounds.
  • Utilize mechanical aptitude and valid licenses where relevant for operational efficiency.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

  • Horticulturist certification desirable (Certificate III, IV or Diploma).
  • Minimum three years’ experience in landscaping and grounds management preferred.
  • Strong work ethic, physically able to perform job requirements.
  • Interest in contributing positively to the school community and supporting student development.
  • Supportive of Anglican values and Code of Conduct.
  • Ability to obtain or currently hold a working with children Blue Card and provide current criminal history check.
